Nettle commonly grows in nutrient dense soil and can be easily found in fields and stream banks. It is a herbaceous perennial plant, with dark green leaves. The tiny hairs are hollow and extract histamine which gives a sharp stinging reaction to the skin. Highly nutritious with many associated nutritional benefits.
