Elecampane is a sturdy rigid herb growing up to 150cm tall. It has broad leaves and  large yellow to orange flowers with multiple petals. Usually only the root is used for dietary purposes. Many associated medicinal uses. Annual or biennial herb, some mistake for a weed due to its invasive nature. Dandelion root has numerous hairy rootlets and likes loose soil. Golden flower heads and hollow stems that ooze a milky liquid when picked. All parts of the plant are edible. Many associated medicinal uses.
